
Landscape Artist, Rita Rauscher
Southwestern Ontario artist, Rita Rauscher, captures the simplistic beauty of Ontario's natural scenery and brings it to life on canvas with the help of acrylics and pastels!
Painting and the arts have always been a passion in Rita's life. She has visited many art exhibits around the world from Toronto to Madrid, and even Paris, taking inspiration from artists such as Tom Thomson, Sheila Davis, Marion Anderson, and John Lightfoot.
More recently, Rita has been taking inspiration from her hiking adventures: each piece telling a unique story of the picturesque landscape, inviting you to immerse yourself in the essence and transcendent beauty of lesser known Ontario locations.
Rita is an active member of the Central Ontario Artist Association, Kitchener-Waterloo Society of Artists, Homer Watson Art Gallery, Woodstock Art Gallery, and Glenhyrst Art Gallery.
Rita's work has been juried in shows at the Homer Watson Art Gallery and Castle Kilbride in Baden, ON.
